I am sure that you will get many helpful answers although, as you say, you'd probably do better on a mathematics -oriented list. If you are truly interested in accurate answers, I'd suggest that you subscribe to the math list on NFB-net. For the life of me, I can't fathom why people are so reluctant to subscribe to lists, especially if they need information.
That being said, might I suggest that the easy solution is to use a human reader rather than mess around trying to set up multiple software packages to work together. I know this is unfashionable these days but a human reader is often quicker and simpler than trying to coax recalcitrant software to behave.
Just a thought.
