The easiest way would be to install cygwin and python.
Cygwin allows you to run several linux programs under windows.
Jaws will read this similar to a command prompt

You can install python for windows instead if the course is only using python.
Check with the professor what type of programs are being written.
You may be able to simple use python on windows with windows libraries instead of linux.

Many python programs can be run on linux or windows if the proper libraries are in place.

For example, WX Python for a graphical interface that works on mac, linux, and windows.
