[Nfb-science] Science and Engineering Division Contributions Explanation

Folks,

In 2017, the Science and Engineering Division of the NFB contributed $75.00, to each of the following funds: The Jernigan Fund, the TenBroek Fund, and the White Cane fund.

We have been asked to explain these funds.

The Kenneth Jernigan Scholarship Convention Fund gives grants, of around $500, to people who wish financial help to attend the national convention.

Donations to the tenBroek Fund support the foundation that owns and maintains the physical property used to house the National Federation of the Blind.

Donations to the White Cane Fund are deposited into the general fund of the NFB.

In addition, the division provides funds for the NFB STEM scholarship.
