Wow! I don't know how to help, but if it also had a braille component maybe it could be used for BELL.
Just thinking,

Subject: [NFB-Science] A Wild Idea

I don't know what to call this, but I have an idea.

Star Trek is having a major anniversary next year, and I thought about making a contribution to it.

Every once in a while, I've thought of how to create a tactile graphic that could be engaging for families, both in a public site and at home. But could it have another use?

What if we could create an interactive model of one of the spacecraft, but also make it a sound system? I know it's unusual, but so many sound systems are the same.

I want to find a model of one of the ships to use as a prototype. I've chosen Deep Space 9 because it's not as popular

The unit would operate as a Bluetooth sound system, but with a twist. In edition to the sound system, there would be a mode for exploring the model.
And here's the excitement. A voice talent from the Star Trek universe would be the user's guide while they're exploring the model Each part of the station, including the promade, the bridge, and other features, would include audio descriptions, beautifully written by a writing team and well narrated by the voice talent.

When you're not looking at the model, you'd be able to just play something through it, even a Deep Space 9 episode.

So does anyone know where I can find a good model of Deep Space 9?

Also, I understand there's an NFB member who has connections with NASA. If that person is on the list, I'd like to hear from them. Thanks.
