[NFB-Seniors-Discussion] I'm back!

I’m probably odd, but I prefer my own play lists.

I’ve got one it took me a couple years to create with a compilation of all the forty-fives my sister and I collected, over the years, over a thousand. That’s like from the late fifties through the seventies.

Hi,

Oh, I’ve never heard of accuradio. Thanks for that! I could listen to the Beatles for hours and hours!!!

Thanks!

Lauren

I listen to accuradio and have several channels marked as favorites. There is achannel that has Beatles plus the best covers; I ban most covers but give Elon, Little Richard And instrumental bands a pass that wHy I can hear all Beatles for a couple of hours...

Yes, I agree, and I also like the big band music from the 20s through 40s.

Here is a station that plays 20s 30s music

www.radiodismuke.com <http://www.radiodismuke.com>

They can be found on the Simple Radio app and other radio apps as well.

A funny story. We have a friend who works as Public Relations Director for a senior facility, and when we were visiting and having lunch with her, I noticed all the 50s rock music being played via a system in the dining room. I thought, wow, what a cool venue, like school cafeteria, then I did the math, realizing the age of every one, including my own hahahaha.

I wonder if, in a few years more, they will be playing Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, Seals And Croft, and the like. All everyone would have to do is leave their doors up and down the hall while they play their favorit music, and we’d be right back in the college dorms!

I agree. 60s music is where it was at. That is all I listen to besides instrumental religious...

Hi,

I was missing for such a short time that you may not have even known. Well, I’m back.

I had to change my 7877 address because it got hacked. Bummer because 7877 spells purr. I went from catliness to catlines to 7877 and now this one.

I’m listening to 60’s music. It is fun and sad how the music, along with nearly everything in our culture, changed, never to go back again. So much drug influence in the music that some of us grew up on.
