Mike,
Yep. We might lose cell phone service and electricity in a storm. But very 
often, we still have our land line.
Cell phone coverage is dependent on a good cell tower nearby for signal and 
more variables. The good old fashioned land line can be a life saver. I will 
certainly purchase phone service when getting my own place.
