Mike,

We will have to agree to disagree on the voice vote.  I don't argue with any
of your other points.  I simply used January as an example.  I also stated
that no matter when Convention is held, some will not like the dates.  Did
you miss that?

I remember the voice vote differently than you. We did vote to try to have
conventions in airline hub cities.

As for time of year, January would result in much worse rates in warm cities
and extreme travel difficulties in northern climes. Moreover, the only
holiday in January is MLK Day and few people get that as vacation time. And
as for Brian, I would opine that conventions are not primarily for your
amusement; rather, they are for your edification and a vehicle for you to
make your voice heard.
