Okay, what's the typical life of a blind person? God forbid!!!!!

Echolocation does work, but has to be done discreetly. People are really 
enthralled with it because of the guy who rode his bike through a crowded 
area by just clicking his tongue. I rose a bike as a totally blind child and 
I put cards on the spokes. the clicking of the cars helped me a lot to 
locate where I was and what was around me. Or sometimes I can snap my 
fingers and tell what's where.

Still want to know what the author meant by his last statement in the 
article.
