[nfb-talk] Facebook's Photo ID System Inaccessible to the Blind

Hello NFB Members. Here is the issue. I attempted to log into facebook on Thursday morning and incorrectly typed in my password. I was then presented with a photo identification system as an added layer of security that requires the user to look at a picture of a friend, then identify that friend by checking a radio button with the friend's name who matches the photo. Obviously, this system totally locks out blind people and I have submitted several reports to the accessibility page of facebook, predictably, with no results. No phone support is available and I was wondering if any of you have had this problem. If so, what have you done about it? Getting sighted assistance does not solve the problem if one has even several dozen friends because neither the blind person or a sighted assistant knows what everyone on your facebook page looks like. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Eddie
P.S. I am using JAWS 13 with Firefox 17 and Windows XP.
