Actually, that deadline is for the scholarship program that features the 30 scholastic scholarships including the ones named for Doctor Jernigan..  

The Jernigan "convention" scholarships, which help mostly new folks get enough funding to attend our national convention has a deadline usually of about the end of April.  I know Alan Harris has been the chairman of the Jernigan fund committee.  But I couldn't find the information on the web site.  Probably just didn't search the right way or place.
