[nfb-talk] I Will Never Ever Live Without My Cane

It is interesting to me, while I was in school until I was 14, we
couldn't use canes.
I was so pleased to have mine, I walked faster, loved not to drop off a
curb, as well as getting around desks better than I could.
My mother pitched a fit when she saw the cane, because it ment independence.
Now kids get canes when they are quite young.
I'm happy for them.
I was always told when I would fall down a flight of steps that she
will remember them next time.
Still have those scares from playing flying nun giggle.
Thought the song was good.
We have kids here in town who don't like to use their canes.
Get unhappy when the instructor says yes you need to do so.
