I wish someone had told me about the accessibility of the app sooner!
Thanks for letting me know about these recent developments!
Blessings, Joshua

Joshua,

And no one said anything different. However, I know, whether Amazon says so
or not, that the NFB was the driving force, or at least an impetus, to the
app becoming accessible. Amazon should have made the Kindle eReader
accessible from the start, but it may not be nearly as easy as making an
accessible app. What Amazon should be doing is consulting with us, unless
they have something to hide. However, the App is accessible and we can use
it to read eBooks.

Nevertheless, I think there is a time to decide which is more important and
effective. Should we totally boycott all aspects of Amazon, or can we use
Amazon to help further our goals and educate the world about what it truly
means to be blind. If "Thunder Dog" sells thousands of copies today,
something it is doing, then why should we not support that? So you can't
use the Kindle app because you have chosen not to use the iPhone. That is
your right and privilege. The Kindle is but one way to market. Now why
don't we urge the folks at K-NFB Reading Technology to also offer a Blio
Deal of the Day? If you don't use Blio either then what other eReader might
you consider? If none, then fine, but please tolerate those who do and pay
attention to that market.

An App on the IPhone makes it accessible?
Hmmm!
I'm surprised.
What about those of us who don't have IPhones?
Amazon still needs to make the Kendall accessible for us!
Thanks, Joshua

Hi Joshua,
I respectfully disagree with you. I'm a regular Kindle user via the app on
the iPhone. If I hadn't read this wonderful book on my BrailleNote, I'd
certinally purchase from Amazon.
