Yes, but by whose standards?

for the Blind

I'm resending this as my computer did a strange things and the words became
jumbled. Freeman is probably trying to exert a bad influence over a guide
dog user, but it won't work.

Is it even relevant to consider a discussion about establishing a guide dog
school much less funding it? We found the money to establish three centers
so we could find the money to create a guide dog school if it were sensible
to do so. However, one does not learn travel while obtaining a guide dog.
The schools that provide such training are well established and can work
well. What we need to do is to get good successful blind leaders with the
appropriate knowledge into leadership positions in these schools. [Michael
Hingson] However, just for the record, of course we could find the money if
we really wanted to do so. I for my part do not think that the function of
the NFB. I am all in favor of this being done privately, however. Even so
I think we need to exert more influence over the existing schools. It is
high time the ALL learn that their most valuable assets are their consumers
of services.

Peter:
You prattle on incessantly about this but you always seem to leave out an
essential consideration: where do you suggest we find the money and
personnel who are both qualified and espouse nfb philosophy to staff such an
entity?
