Hi Jim,

Glad to hear you can again join the Washington delegation to our convention. As I understand things, Monday, July 1, will be the preregistration workshops and seminars. Tuesday, July 2, will begin the registration process, and also hold many, many, many committee and division meetings and workshops, including the lawyers' division mock trial, the national association of blind students meeting, etc, etc.

Wednesday, July 3, will be the day of the board meeting, and many more division meetings, and the like. Thursday, July 4, begins the plenary sessions with the roll call of states, the Presidential report, and other speakers. Friday, July 5, will continue the all convention sessions, with much of the business session such as elections, resolutions, etc, and more presentations. Finally, Saturday, July 6, will be a full day of convention sessions, culminating in the evening with the banquet including scholarship presentations, and of course Doctor Maurer's address.

Sunday, July7, you can fly home, or stay around Orlando, or whatever you want because convention is over.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [nfb-talk] Questions about upcoming convention

Howdy,

I'm very happy to say that things look quite good regarding my return to
attending NFB conventions. I'm very excited, and if all of my ducks are in
a row, I will see many of you this summer. I've got questions.

I see that the convention is from July 1-6. Is that including the
preconvention workshops? How does that schedule work now that the days are
shorter?

I might have gotten a killer deal but don't want to miss anything if I don't
have to.

So, if someone could go over how the schedule works, I'd appreciate that.

Thanks.

Jim
