This is sad news indeed... All this past week, during WAMU, the local NPR station's pledge drive they were talking about his last broadcast, and they even interviewed him a few times through the course of the week to talk about his extremely long history with the station. I listened to the show last night, and he definitely did not sound as strong and clear as he usually did, but I assumed it was just emotions... If nothing else, he left this world doing exactly what he loved to do most.  Rest in peace, Ed!

Fellow Federationists, it is with a heavy heart that I must tell you that Radio personality Ed Walker died this morning.
Ed did The Big Broadcast from 1990, and his last broadcast was broadcast on Radio Station WAMU, last night at 7 PM.

Ed got into radio in 1951, and hosted the Radio, The Joy Boys, in the 1950’s 1960’s and 1970’s.

Ed will be greatly missed.
