[nfb-talk] Here he comes...

Hi John,
I respectfully disagree with you regarding the press. I listen to both
conservatives and liberals and then make up my mind. I also listen to
programs on the internet from other countries. Sometimes, I get more
balanced information about the US from listening to stations from other
countries.I feel that both sides, conservatives and liberals, accuse the
other side of faux news. I feel that we have to listen to different
stations and points of view to get a balanced picture of what is going on.

Let me share about what one of my good friends said:
This man was in the classified world in the military. He saw a lot of
things that were contrary of what we hear. Some of it he still cannot talk
about as it is still classified. He often says that he does not believe
what the Government says until it is officially denied. By the way, he did
not vote for Trump either.

I do not want to say this to be divisive. I believe in civilized
conversations, both in person and in emails.

Best Regards,

Marianne

The idea that the free press can't be trusted is bullstuffpromoted by people
who don't like the truth. And it's Un-American bullstuff at that.
Democracy cannot work without a free press. When you tell people they can't
trust the free press, you're telling them that they can't possibly have any
way to know which way to vote. That's Un-American.

This is just a myth fostered by conservatives who think anybody who doesn't
automatically agree with them is a liberal. If you insist on actually having
facts before making up your mind, that makes you a liberal.
