I have noticed that it is very difficult to find this type of tape on the mainstream market as you said. Everything is made for electronic label makers.

You can write Braille on 3/8 inch wide tape, but if you are using a slate or Braille label maker, that width will present problems. These tools are designed for 1/2 inch wide tape. If you are careful, you can line the tape up in the center of a slate's labeling slot. I don't think you will be able to buy clear tape from a mainstream vender. Sighted people who use print label makers want to be able to see the letters against a colored background.

You can get these at target, office depot, Walmart, etc.
You probably want 3/8 wide.

My husband sent out the message earlier for me while I was working on other things. I was planning to get some at the national convention; however, I need some ASAP for a project that I did not realize was going to need a good supply .
