Hello Colleagues:

Since cannabis has been legalized in my State, I've become interested in
growing it, purely because of the challenge, not to get high, of course.

I have solved most problems--testing for PH, water density, light intensity,
temperature and humidity with audible measuring tools.

I'm down to one last problem and I wonder if anyone has solved it.

All of the advice re cannabis flowers is that you shouldn't touch them.
Further advice is that in order to tell when they're ready for harvest, the
flower trichomes can be seen with a magnifier, first being clear, then
cloudy, then magenta.

I find that I need to touch them very rarely because by smell I can tell
what's going on. What I can't seem to solve is how to tell when they're
optimally ready for harvest.

Has anyone found an alternative technique for determining this final optimal
point of readiness?

Do you know of other signs I might use to tell when they're optimal?

Thanks in advance for any advice you have. I can be contacted off-line at
