The face recognition did not ever work for me. Maybe it did not think I had a pretty face, who knows, but I ended up buying an Iphone 8 which I love. When the time comes for a new one, I will get the new SE. This still has the home button which I find much easier and more convenient than the ones with only face recognition. It may depend on whether you need the dual camera on the 11 or not. The SE has the same processor as the 11 and I think same battery life, just not the additional cameras. I still like the fingerprint recognition So the AC is much better for me.
