I am Type 2, and I used the Prodigy for a while. I stopped because I had the info I needed, and didn\u2019t need to follow the little meal, and daily ups and downs. I know what to do and how food X impacts me now.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Anyway, there is no magic answer. I had trouble and there are things that help. Warm your hand with warm water first. I then used the lancet, and would trigger it a couple times to be sure, it does hurt some. Then I squeezed the hell out of my finger to bring out blood, applied the strip at an angle, then put it in the machine. I am trying once again to use the Prodigy Voice glucometer and not being terribly successful. I usually do not get enough blood on the test strip to get a good reading. I would love to learn how to use one of these continuous glucose monitors, but because I don\u2019t take insulin, insurance said \u201cno.\u201d I was in the hospital recently, (for something not related to my diabetes), but the nurses tested my blood sugar 4 times a day and never seemed to have a problem getting enough blood. That leads me to believe that either I\u2019m doing something wrong or my meter is just not very good. I will thank you in advance for any assistance with this matter.
