> Excitement is building for this year’s convention, May 17 – 19 at the Red Lion Hotel. The NFB of Utah will have a new president as of May 19th. Everette Bacon has worked very diligently and has done lots and lots of volunteer work to build our affiliate and to help individuals. It is my suggestion and hope that you will stand with me in pledging our full support for Everette Bacon in our elections this year. I will not be going away but I am stepping down as president.

> Attached please find 4 documents. These documents are being mailed across the state. They give more information about the convention and it provides a registration page for those who would rather not register online. The online registration is live and working well.

> The NFB of Utah is providing a huge subsidy to make the hotel and meals during our convention more affordable for individuals and families. You are each invited to take advantage of these discounted rates. If the lack of funds will prevent you from attending our convention, please contact me at rgardner at nfb.org or your chapter presidents. Their contact information is on our webpage. We have limited funding to assist individuals and families so please do not stay away because of money.

> Again, in addition to other exciting agenda events our elections this year will produce a new president. Any blind member is eligible to be nominated but I believe Everette Bacon should receive your consideration and vote. He certainly will receive my support and my vote.
