[NFB-Utah] Note of Sadness

Fellow Federationists and Friends of the NFB of Utah:

	It is with a heavy heart that I report to you the passing of one of
our dear members and friend. Laura Hathaway passed away today from
complications due to a stroke. She is survived by her husband Chris
and members of the Bealls family, which includes her sisters Sharon
Smith and Janice Spencer and their husbands Karl Smith and Neal
Spencer. Laura was an active and vibrant member of our affiliate and
served in many capacities including Secretary of the Salt Lake
Chapter. On many occasions, she served as chairperson for our annual
state convention. Many will remember her as the warm and welcoming
face of our conventions. She was a beautiful soul. Laura will be
sorely missed, she was only 53 years old.

	Her husband Chris is also one of our members and is blind. He is in
need of help with expenses related to the funeral, and is likely going
to need support in other ways as well. The NFB of Utah will be
accepting donations on behalf of Chris. You can donate via PayPal on

Hathaway.

	Our federation family is strong and we come together for our members
who are in need. Thank you to all who are able to donate.
