In case list members have not heard of Vivek Kundra, he was recently
appointed as the nation's first Chief Information Officer by President
Obama.

I hoping there will be some questions concerning the accessibility of
the web applications and data which will become available.

I read there were some concerns about the inaccessibility of a section
of whitehouse.gov called "Open for Questions"

>From wikipedia:

He has been recognized for his work in developing programs to spur open
source and crowdsourced applications using publicly accessible Web
services from the District of Columbia with an initiative called Apps
for Democracy. His efforts to use cloud-based Web applications in the
District government have been considered innovative within
government.[9]

Our annual conference is happening next week - and though we know that
not everyone can join us in person, we want ALL Forum members to
participate in some way. That's why we are asking for your input, to
help shape the discussions at our opening keynote presentations.

Similar to what we did with our YouTube session a few weeks ago, we've
set up an online moderation tool to solicit your questions. Just submit
a question you want one of the speakers to answer - and/or vote on
questions other people submit. This "social voting" tool will help our
speakers gauge which topics will be most important for them to cover
during their presentation.

The first session is with Vivek Kundra, Federal CIO, and Macon Phillips,
White House Director of New Media. The second session, on Citizen
Participation, is with Katie Stanton, White House Director of Citizen
Participation, and our own Bev Godwin, Director of USA.gov, who is
currently on detail to the White House Office of New Media.

For those of you not attending the conference, you might be asking, "why
should I care?" Well, you should care, because the first session (with
Vivek & Macon) will be recorded & posted online after the conference.
Even if you can't be there live, you may see your question answered
anyway - so if you have a question for these guys - now is your chance
to ask it!

Submit and vote on questions for Vivek Kundra and Macon Phillips:

Submit and vote on questions for Katie Stanton and Bev Godwin:

If you can't access this tool, feel free to send me or Sheila your
question and we'll submit it into the tool for you.

Thanks!
