Joe,

Here is a quick public reply just because a few item are important to all of us.

Backups are Important to do. Don't make the mistake to think that your
ISP is doing it for you.

In a traditional website. We normally work with files offline and then
upload them. This works as a backup if the ISP had any problems.

In Drupal everything is done online so this offline copy doesn't
exist. For that reason it is important to do both file backups and
database backups.

I personally also always create a test site where I can try things out
before putting them into production. I keep this test site just like
the production site, same drupal version same modules (except when I
am testing). This test site in a way is also another form of backup.

Drupal Updates.

Are they important. Technically yes but realalisticly you are fine
missing versions. I am currently running drupal 6.9.

Drupal updates can be alittle involved that is why I generally have
not installed everyone that comes out. When I have though I do it
first on my test site.

Hope this helps.
Mike
