[Nfb-web] Conference and Training

I work on nfbtx.org which is a Drupal site and nfbaustin.org which is a wordpress site. I find that in most cases I can get the same things to work with both systems, but some are easier in one than the other. Drupal seems more flexible without having to edit themes or write your own plugins, but it takes more detail work to get things just the way you want. Wordpress seems to have more features that just work out of the box with a checkbox or button click, but those features don't seem as configurable. These are just my opinions, and I believe both systems are accessible for the most part and can allow a non-technical person to build a professional looking site without learning to write code.

Milton,

I was not able to make the meeting in Orlando. Some of use already use
a web content management system called Drupal. What are the reasons
that people are wanting to use Wordpress instead? I know this is kind
of like asking why somebody prefers MS Word over Word Perfect and, the
answer might be as simple as it is what the are most familiar with,
but I want to through the question out to hear yours and others
responses. Perhaps there is something in Wordpress that would benefit
me.

Thanks
Mike
