[Nfb-web] Beyond the Browser

Good afternoon everyone,

Some information I've been reading about content rendering got me to
wonder if anyone has been testing their affiliate Web sites on devices other
than PCS to see how they render or if they can be accessed at all by folks
using them. I'm talking about smart phones, PDAS, Braille displays, e-book
readers and game consoles capable of displaying Web sites, televisions, and
other devices that are able to access the Internet and display our Web sites
to help us spread our message via devices other than standard Web browsers.

Given the continued proliferation of these devices this is a topic
worthy of our attention and a great item for next year's Webmasters Meeting
Mr. Chairman? Perhaps we need to start designing our sites so they will be
available too, and will render properly on devices other than a PC and its
Web browser to allow us to take the federation's message to places
unimaginable. I'd like to hear what people's experiences have been when
trying to access their affiliate's Web site on devices other than computers.
This is a great one for thought.

In caverns deep a burning snare,
He shot from heaven a piercing ray,
And the dark treachery brought to day.”
