I am sorry for your problems with Yahoo, but this message is off topic for this list. If you keep posting off topic messages here, I will remove and block your address. You have been warned previously and choose to ignore me.
David Andrews, Moderator and List Owner
p.s. To correct one of your statements -- NFB is not a "blindness agency." We are a consumer group, a group of blind persons advocating for ourselves.

Subject: [Nfb-web] yahoo groups, mail and search inaccessibility
Hi.
Well.
Went to join some groups today.
And when I tried to manage my groups.
Totally inaccessible.
Not your com boxes, but strange drop down menus, or areas or image blocks.
Not good enough.
Can we have it the way it was 12 months ago, having traditional standard combo boxes, and the only way was able to unsubscribe from some groups, was to go in, and click on the unsubscribe, and when I tried to customize one of my groups I had subscribed to.
Totally inaccessible.
No radio buttons, submit buttons, etc.
Yahoo groups, has gone backwards, that is why so many blind mods and owners have gone to other services, like free lists, mailman, emissives, and groups.io
As this is easier for owners and moderators to manage.
I have got complaints from moderators, that the management interface is totally inaccessible and useless to use with a screen reader like jaws for windows, nvda, windo-eyes, and even voice over on the mac.
Please improve the accessibility,
Or I might have to contact one of the blindness agencies like the NFB or acb, and see if you can improve the accessibility of yahoo groups, yahoo mail, and search.
So.
Bringing this to your attention.
I use jaws, not threatening you, just trying to get better improved accessibility and a better service.
Not having a very good experience with yahoo groups, using internet explorer and firefox.
So.
I would not recommend my friends to use the yahoo groups site, if they want to manage and subscribe to groups, do it via e-mail.
The web interface is totally inaccessible.
Marvin.
