I would suggest looking at the views documentation to get familiar with the features and options of the UI. It took me many tries and much playing around, and I am still discovering new things.
I will have to read up and play around. One of my projects is in drupal whether I like it or not, and it wouldn't hurt to at least have a foundation in views. We're not exactly bleading money on inclusive android, but it's all coming from the project team. We haven't been able to generate grants or sponsorships to do what we're trying for. So, it would be nice to keep things in house.

Doable, yes. Easily, I doubt it. Of course, there are things about pmwiki that are hard. It's a bit of a tradeoff. One thing I know for sure that drupal will not give me is the sheer ease of training and colaboration. Anyone, literally anyone can learn pmwiki. I have senior citicins confidently building formated webpages that they wouldn't even attempt in html. Wiki markup offers users with no html experience a very streamlined creative experience that I believe they might not have access to if they had to learn html or fiddle with a wysiwyg editor on a website no matter how accessible it is. I can teach html, and I've got a few people who I feel confident could learn in time but there's no comparison between html markup and wiki markup for ease of use.
It just puts more on me to do the back end coding, but that's the way it should be really. I've got chapters and divisions cover thousands of square miles and I can't be in charge of publishing all their content. But I am a first rate trainer and if I put something up that can be used by anyone and then adequately train and support them, then we should have a site the state can be proud of in the end.
Best,
Erik
