[Nfb-web] FW: Notes from last meeting and Webmasters Meeting Agenda

Previous email got cut off, but I wanted to note that in terms of
accessibility Drupal does an amazing job at making this work. What they
choose to use as a platform is irrelivant and really doesn't matter all
that much, what matters is that there is an unaccessible theme floating
around. Both Wordpress and Drupal are great options and they both have
their drawbacks and bonuses. It's really easy to do a lot of things in
Drupal that most people struggle with in Wordpress, but I know others
feel the same. I encourage people to stick with what they have if it
works; you'll also find plenty of unaccessible themes for Wordpress as
well. The issue here is getting something out that is accessible and
works out of the box; perhaps NFB or whoever is working on this theme,
once it is actually fixed can create a drupal profile that affiliates
can use to install their site. you can do all of your customization from
that option and not have to worry about people having the wrong themes
or misconfiguring everything. The installation profile is what large
companies like Acquia and others use to deploy customized Drupal
instances and is what I used when working on my quality regression test
framework.
