Hello!

I have been tasked with updating the theme on our Wordpress-powered NFB of
Ohio affiliate web site. I am looking for some guidance. I have backed up
the entire web site along with the SQL databases via CPanel. The
instructions in the theme zip file explain that the databases will be
overwritten and that the panel username/password will be changed. When it
says that the databases will be overwritten, does this mean that I will then
be able to restore my backed up databases or will I actually have to go in
and restore all of the content manually? I just want to be certain on this
procedure before embarking on it. Here are the instructions from the zip
file I was given.

1. install a default WordPress site or backup the existing data on your
server
(We of course already have a site and I have already backed up the data and
SQL databases, as mentioned above.)

2. copy the "wp-content" folder to the root folder of your WordPress site on
your server
3. replace all instances of http://SITEURL in the .sql file with your real
site URL and save the .sql file
4. import the database from the .sql file (please note that when importing
all your existing data will be replaced with the data from the .sql file)
(This is the part that concerns me.)

5. the admin panel access will be reset to user: admin password: <stripped>
By admin panel, does it mean CPanel?

Thanks for any assistance anyone can provide! If you'd rather email me
off-list, use the email address from which I am sending this message -
