Hi Affiliate and Division Web Coordinators!

It’s time to move all Federation websites from the Drupal 9 version to the Drupal 10 version to ensure long-term support, security, and performance. This update affects the backend infrastructure only—it will not change your website’s content or day-to-day management tools. It does not require a migration project and should only take about an hour of your time. However, coordination and testing are essential before applying any upgrade to a live site. The following sites are currently scheduled for this upgrade:

Alabama, Blind Merchants, Colorado, DC, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, NAGDU, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Washington, Wyoming

If your site is not listed, another batch will follow soon, or the site may already be on Drupal 10. To check the current Drupal version of a site, visit /admin/reports/status while logged in as an administrator.

What to Know about the Update and Process

Your current Drupal 9 site remains live during this process.

This is a technical upgrade; no changes to your content or layout are expected.

We’ve created a Drupal 10 staging site to test the upgrade before going live.

What We Need from You
We’ve prepared a Drupal 10 staging site for the following states. The staging site is a sandbox environment to test and review before we implement the upgrade—similar to the one we had during the migration project. If you manage or work on any of the sites listed, please set aside 30–60 minutes to test by August 1. The staging links are provided below as well.

Please test by reviewing the following for any issues or concerns:
Frontend

*	High traffic or currently promoted pages like state convention or NFB BELL
*	Contact, Newsletter, Donate, Registration forms (as applicable)
*	Search field

Backend

*	Review existing basic pages
*	Try creating a new page
*	Note any issues or changes in functionality

Important Notes:

*	Staging sites were cloned from your live site and may be slightly out of date.
*	Let us know if you’ve made large updates recently that we should sync into the staging site.
*	If possible, please avoid content changes on your live site until the upgrade is complete. This will be between August 1 and August 10. You can confirm it is complete by checking the status report at /admin/reports/status while logged in as an administrator.
