Subject: MARTA Request Your Assistance - Rides to Wellness
Importance: High

Good morning everyone,

Please read the below information concerning an opportunity to participate
in a focus group for the Ride to Wellness program. Should you or anyone you
know have an interest in participating please contact me or Ms. Toni
Thornton as soon as possible.

I thank you in advance for your time and consideration to my request.

MARTA was fortunate to be named recipient of a Federal Transit
Administration (FTA) grant in partnership with the Atlanta Regional
Commission, Grady Health System, Morehouse School of Medicine and Choice
Health Care Network to initiate the Rides to Wellness program. In
preparation for community engagement to review current transportation
challenges with specific populations and gather thoughts on potential
solutions, we are asking for your support and assistance to help us identify
individuals willing to participate in a focus group to collect important
information and data. The Rides to Wellness initiative is an asset to both
the local community and the Greater Atlanta Region. The goal of the program
is to:

*	Increase accessible transportation options for citizens to attend
healthcare and non-emergency medical care appointments.
*	Expand collaborative efforts of MARTA and healthcare providers to
improve the outcome of patients' ability to confidently use public
transportation.
*	Engage the community to identify barriers for individuals that may
be unable to use public transportation to access healthcare services.
*	Host a regional summit in June 2018 with stakeholders and community
members, focusing on transportation and healthcare to explore the challenges
and identify solutions to improve access for disadvantaged individuals.

MARTA looks forward to the success of this initiative, which requires that
we gather detailed information and data about personal experiences,
perceptions and opinions as it relates to public transportation and the
connection to healthcare services. To achieve this, we plan to use focus
groups and we're asking for your support and assistance by identifying 3 to
6 of your members/residents who are willing to participate in one our
upcoming focus group sessions.

The Atlanta-Fulton session is scheduled for April 24th , 2018, at CT Martin
Recreation Center. The DeKalb Session is April 26th, at the Decatur Rec
Center and Clayton County's date and location is TBD, all sessions will be
from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. Participants will be provided dinner and a 7-Day
Breeze Card for their time.

We hope that you are able to support this meaningful initiative. For
individuals to participate, please provide their name and contact
information to Toni Thornton, Community Outreach Planner at
tthornton at itsmarta.com <mailto:tthornton at itsmarta.com> by Monday, April
9th.

Should you have questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you in
advance for your consideration to support the Rides to Wellness program.

Kindest regards,
