Mark your calendars and make your room reservations for the 2018 National
Federation of the Blind, Georgia Annual State Convention, being held in
Albany, GA from October 5-7, 2018. 

 

HOTEL:

The NFBGA 2018 Annual State Convention will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn
Albany Downtown

The room rates are $109 per night plus taxes and fees. To make your
reservations, call the main hotel number and tell them you are part of the
National Federation of the Blind of Georgia room block for October 5-7,
2018. 

 

If you also require this room rate for Thursday, October 4 and/or Sunday
October 7. Or you require an accessible room, please ask for the NFBGA
outside block.

 

The deadline for booking your room is September 5, 2018, please let us know
if you have any difficulties making your room reservation.

 

Convention REGISTRATION:

The NFBGA 2018 Convention Registration rate is $40.00, 

Your registration cost includes a box lunch, with a choice of either,
Turkey, Ham, Roast beef or Veggie sandwich.

 

Banquet:

Banquet Ticket $45.00 per person

Please plan to attend this year's banquet with us. We plan to have lots of
fun and many prizes. You will have a choice of either a Vegetable or Chicken
plate.

All checks or money orders must be made out to NFB of Georgia. 

 

When mailing your registration, please remember to include your completed
registration form along with your check or money order. I have attached a
copy of the blank form for your use.

 

You may also go to the website to print a blank registration form.

 

The final cutoff date for registration will be Saturday, September 15, 2018
with no exceptions

 

Transportation:

 

The Affiliate will be sponsoring a bus to this year's convention. This bus
will be leaving from Atlanta, making one stop in Macon before continuing to
Albany. There is a possibility that there may be a van that will travel from
Augusta to Albany. If you would like to purchase a seat on the bus or ask
about the possibility of a van leaving from Augusta.

Ticket Price for the bus or van will be $60.00 per person

 

If you are coming from Columbus GA, unfortunately the bus will not be making
any stops in Columbus, you will have to travel by Greyhound. 

 

*The cut off for registering for the bus or van has not been determined yet,
so if you are interested in a seat, please contact Dorothy Griffin as soon
as possible.
