I really need to get to a training center for independence training and the one that I want to go to is Louisiana Center For The Blind. I actually thought by now I would be on my way there but that never happened. My counselor only called me one time in January. And then I received the paperwork and filled it out with help. So I sent it back and he called me in like March 1 I believe  and he said he received it and that was pretty much everything he said. And then some intern that he had called me and was talking to me a little bit about my goals I guess and I told her how I wanted to go to a training center so I can be independent before I step out into the world I guess you could say. And then I think a couple of weeks ago I emailed her and asked her how was my case coming? She said I was still an application status and that she was still working on my file or something. Yet my actual counselor still never called me. So Thursday of last week I called him and he just now told me that I had to give him my Social Security award letter. Why the heck didn’t he tell me that along time ago. But anyway and then he said something like I don’t have to do anything now that I’ve sent it to him because when I’m in the System he said we have to make me a Nother eye exam. When I had one last year in May already. I’m sorry if this is all over the place I’m trying to explain everything I can. Anyway, I told the director of LCB about this and I guess tomorrow she will call me or something. This is just really stressing me out and making me feel like I don’t want to do this anymore. I just wish there was another way for us to be able to get training we need besides going threw these people. Thank you for listening and help you all have a wonderful night or day.
