[NFB_of_Georgia] NFBGA 2019 Convention Announcement

Greetings Fellow Federationist, I hope you are excited, I know I am.  Below
is the convention announcement.  The NFBGA website registration forms are
not up yet but will be soon.  I wanted everyone to know the information so
you can prepare to attend.  Please share with members, family and friends!
Transportation options are being looked at and if your needing
transportation please let me know as soon as possible.


The National Federation of the Blind of Georgia Annual State Convention is
an ever-growing gathering of blind people, with a program agenda that
serves to educate and empower. Each year blind persons, their family
members, blindness professionals, service providers, and other interested
individuals have the opportunity to network and exchange information and
ideas. Attendees meet and talk with many blind people who are successfully
functioning in many occupations and professions. State and Federal
administrators, elected officials, and the makers and distributors of new
technology attend the NFBGA convention. Above all, a broad cross section of
the most active segment of the blind population are present to discuss
common problems and plan for concerted action.


*The 2019 State Convention*

The National Federation of the Blind of Georgia's (NFBGA) 2019 state
convention will be held in the great city of Augusta; from October 4th
through the 6th at the beautiful DoubleTree by Hilton Augusta Hotel.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Augusta hotel is located at 2651 Perimeter
Parkway, Augusta, GA  30909.

Reservation information follows:

Room rates are $102.00 single/double and $134.00 suites, plus a $6.00
county & transportation tax, with a 14% tax, per night per room.  There are
9 handicap rooms available with 1 queen bed, please allow for those who
really need one.

*The deadline for reserving your rooms is September 10th, and any
cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to check in to avoid being
charged for 1 night room. *

Reserve your room *now* by calling the hotel at 706-855-8100 ask for
reservations and be sure to mention that you are with the NFB of Georgia.
