Hello Everyone,

Below is a message from the Center for the Visually Impaired (CVI) regarding testing of the new voting machines. Please note that if you are planning to attend, a RSVP is needed. Please pass this information to those who are blind or visually impaired who may not be on this list.

CVI invites you to join us for a demonstration of the new voting machines in collaboration with the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office. The new machines were purchased for the upcoming 2020 elections in March, May and November. This is an opportunity for individuals who are visually impaired to learn how the new voting machines work and how they will be accessible to them.

The Secretary of State’s Office will showcase the accessible features of the new machines, from the sign-in process through the ballot casting process. This demonstration will be specific to the voting process as it pertains to blind/visually impaired voters.

When: Tuesday, March 17
Time: 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Location: CVI located at 739 W. Peachtree St., NW, Atlanta, GA 30308

Please join CVI for an informative, interactive voter education event in which you will have the ability to personally interact with the new machines and ask questions of elections staff on hand at the event. RSVPs are strongly recommended. Please RSVP by calling 404-875-9011 or emailing info at cviga.org <mailto:info at cviga.org>.
