The Georgia Audible Universal Access Service marketing and outreach team
sincerely hopes that everyone has been fairing well and finding a new
normal amidst the upheaval of COVID-19. NFB-NEWSLINE is a great source of
information on COVID 19 breaking news as well. It can also be an excellent
source of distraction and levity. We want to help you maximize your use of
our service during this time.
Our team will be offering weekly Zoom content during this time every
Wednesday and Friday. We invite each if you and your blind, low vision, or
print disabled friends to join us as we learn and enjoy a little virtual
socialization. The times listed below are Eastern times
Wednesday, March 25 4:00PM
KNFB Reader and KNFB Reader Basic
Join us as we take a deep dive into the KNFB Reader application, the
leading optical character recognition scan and read app for the blind. We
will also take a look at KNFB Reader Basic which is built into the anew
NFB-NEWSLINE application which is currently in beta testing but available
to each one of you for FREE.
Friday, March 27 4:00PM
Join us for a discussion of the February Braille Monitor article “Sighted
Privilege: Recognition of the Problem is the First Step Toward Resolution”
by Justin Salisbury. We will utilize NFB-NEWSLINE to read the article
together and then discuss.
The meeting information is listed below but if you have any questions
please reach out to dorothy.nfbnewslinega at gmail.com or call (404) 632-5989.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
