With some sadness, I announced at our Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation
Services (GVRS) Board meeting that I will be leaving the agency at the end
of the month to accept a new opportunity with Deloitte. While this new
chapter is somewhat bittersweet, I am encouraged by the strides we have
made as an organization in the past fifteen months. Personally and
professionally, change is never easy, but it is essential to progress.

Today, I can confidently say I believe GVRA is significantly closer to
being the kind of agency our clients deserve. We stood up administrative
functions that operate with more efficiency and customer-focus. Many of our
community partners have expressed restored faith because of our forward
momentum. We also have a vision for program improvements that will create
an improved experience for the people we are tasked with serving.

I thank all of you who have remained committed to the goal of a better
GVRA. Please continue to keep the agency’s truly noble mission in mind in
all you do.
