Hi! We are four students from Georgia Tech working on a project to help make
retail shopping easier for visually impaired people. We are looking for
participants who are visually impaired, who are comfortable in sharing their
retail/grocery shopping experiences, and who are willing to test our design
prototypes and offer feedback to help us advance our design.

We are passionate about learning about things you consider when planning for
shopping, as well as navigating in store to retrieve items you want. Our
final goal will be to implement a solution to improve your in-person
shopping experiences at local stores. Your participation is completely
voluntary, confidential, and will be greatly appreciated.

The duration of our project will be roughly 2 months, during which we will
want to schedule time with you to talk about the project, receive feedback
on prototypes, etc. This will either be in person, by phone or using an
online meeting platform based on your availability. Your participation will
not exceed more than 7 hours over the course of the next 2 months. Your
commitment may involve conversations, interviews, observation, and prototype
testing.

Specifically, we are looking for people who:

- have shopped at stores like Target, Walmart, Publix, CVS, etc., or intend
to do shopping in stores;

-   have experience using electronic devices like a smartphone;

- ideally are comfortable talking in-person and demonstrating how they
plan for shopping and how they shop at the store, but talking online/
through phone calls would also work.

If you are interested in learning more about our project or in
participating, please email Meichen Wei at mwei70 at gatech.edu or call 781 786
1735 to get in touch. Please include your name, a brief introduction of
yourself, the best way and time to reach you. It would also be great if you
could share some general comments about planning for and going retail or
grocery shopping.
