Dear Affiliate Presidents:



I am writing to bring to your attention the important work of the REV UP
coalition in your state to empower voters with disabilities. The REV UP
Voting Campaign <https://www.aapd.com/advocacy/voting/join-rev-up/> started
in 2016 as an initiative of the American Association of People with
Disabilities (AAPD), a cross-disability civil rights organization building
the political and economic power of people with disabilities across the
country. The REV UP Voting Campaign is a nonpartisan national voting
initiative focused on advancing the power of the disability vote. Rev Up’s
mission is to foster civic engagement and protect the voting rights of
Americans with disabilities. REV UP stands for “Register! Educate! Vote!
Use your Power!”



Lou Ann Blake and I have been in contact with the staff at the American
Association of People with Disabilities about partnering several of our
state affiliates with Rev Up. Your state came up in conversation as a state
that may benefit greatly by this partnership. Working with the REVUP
coalition could be an effective way to register to vote blind and
low-vision adults in your state, educate voters with print disabilities
about accessible vote-by-mail, and get out the vote on Election Day,
November 8, 2022.

Blake or myself know, and we will help to connect you with the REVUP
coalition in your state. Also please do not hesitate to ask any questions
that you have about partnering with Rev Up.
