2022 Georgia Festival of Trees (JINGLE BRAILLE ROCK CHRISTMAS TREE)
Communities Helping Communities
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Saturday, November 5th, the Gwinnett Family Chapter of the NFB of Georgia
proudly decorated our Jingle Braille Rock Christmas Tree at our chapter
meeting that will be auctioned at the 2022 Georgia Festival of Trees held at
the Georgia World Congress Center from November 19-27, 2022 excluding some
days for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Our tree will be enjoyed by over 25,000
guests over this five-day event. The categories for 2022 Best in Show and
Most Creative will be announced at a Festival Preview Party on Friday,
November 18th on social media and the Georgia Festival of Trees website.
The Gwinnett Family Chapter would like to invite ALL to purchase a ticket
and attend this 5 day event and each ticket will give you a chance to vote
in the People's Choice Category which will be announced on the morning of
Saturday, November 26 on social media. This event helps women and youth who
are at risk or are victims of domestic human trafficking and we know that
individuals with a disability face an increase risk .
The Georgia Festival of Trees includes something for everyone!
This special experience is fun for all ages and includes a forest of
fully-decorated Christmas trees, children's activities, live entertainment,
boutique gift shops, sugar cookie decorating, a Christmas Gingerbread
competition.and so much more!
Stay Tune, a sneak preview description of our Jingle Braille Rock Christmas
Tree is coming soon .
We give thanks to our chapter member Jenifer Davis for her great idea of
entering a tree, This is also an opportunity for community involvement
and awareness of our organization, the National Federation of the Blind of
Georgia.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
