Greetings!
We are currently recruiting blind and low-vision adults to participate in a

facilitators to physical activity among adults who experience low vision or
blindness. Individuals who participate in this study will be asked to:
- Complete an informed consent and initial survey (including mailing
information)
- Wear a small activity monitor for 7 consecutive days during waking
hours
- Complete the exit survey and return activity monitor to research team
*To be eligible for this study, participants must:*
- Have vision ranging from low vision to no light perception
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be willing and able to complete a screen reader-accessible online
survey
- Be willing and able to wear a physical activity monitor for seven
consecutive days during waking hours
- Have no additional disabilities that impact physical activity
monitoring (e.g., using a wheelchair for ambulation)
*INCENTIVE**:*
All participants who successfully complete all aspects of this study
will receive
a check in the amount of $50. Participants who complete at least three days
of monitor wear, but not all aspects of study procedures are eligible to
receive a check in the amount of $15.00-$35.00 (proration depends on number
of days of wear and returning the activity monitor).

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
