Subject: [NFB_of_Georgia] Ride Gwinnett is expanding in 2023
FYI!
Ride Gwinnett is expanding in 2023
Ride Gwinnett is expanding this year! We will be adding three new local routes that will serve Buford, Suwanee, Lilburn, Snellville, and Stone Mountain. Additionally, we are introducing two new microtransit zones in Lawrenceville and Snellville. Once expansion is complete, Ride Gwinnett will be accessible to more than 50 percent of Gwinnett residents. Let’s take a closer look at what’s coming:
New local routes
On August 28, we will launch two of our new local routes. Route 25 will depart from the Gwinnett Transit Center at Gwinnett Place Mall. It will go down Pleasant Hill past Plaza Las Americas, travel from Lawrenceville Highway to Killian Hill Road, and pass through the Mountain Park area to Stone Mountain, ending near the Amazon Distribution Warehouse.
Ride Gwinnett Route 70 will begin in downtown Snellville and follow Highway 78 through Snellville, Stone Mountain, Clarkston, and Decatur before ending at the Indian Creek MARTA Station in Dekalb County.
Microtransit zones
On August 28, get ready for the exciting debut of Ride Gwinnett’s microtransit zones in Snellville and Lawrenceville. Microtransit is an innovative and flexible way to travel around Gwinnett County. In Snellville, the microtransit zone will cover the area from Centerville to the Webb Ginn area. In Lawrenceville, the microtransit zone will serve communities from Sugarloaf Parkway to just past State Road 316, including Georgia Gwinnett College.
Upcoming local route
Ride Gwinnett Route 50 is making its debut this fall on Monday, November 20. This local route will take on a journey from the Park and Ride at Sugarloaf Mills through the Suwanee Town Center. From there, it heads east towards the Mall of Georgia area and Coolray Field.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
