*Hello 2023 NFB National Convention Goers*

Below is the information requesting members to volunteer for the
Independence Market. Please send me (Dorothy Griffin, dgriffin at nfbga.org)
your name, and the times you are willing to work, as soon as possible. I
will submit your name to the appropriate person. *This also includes any
Mentors and their Mentee, once you know that the person you sponsored for
the Kenneth Jernigan Scholarship has been awarded the scholarship.*

*** Independence Market Help Needed*

The time has come to check within our affiliate to see who is attending the
national convention and who might be willing and able to help in the
Independence Market. The market will be open: Beginning Sunday, July 2,
through Wednesday, July 5. The first 2 days (Sunday & Monday) the market is
open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the following two days (Tuesday &
Wednesday) only during the lunch recess. We like to encourage folks who
are able to volunteer to work one four-hour shift on one of the long days,
and one lunch-time shift. We are certainly flexible with folks who may not
be able to accommodate both days. Any help you can provide would be greatly
appreciated!

Thank you, Dorothy Griffin,

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
