Dear Federation Family,

I do not know about you, but the ease of summer has quickly turned into a
frenzy of engagement and excitement as we move into fall. There was a lot
of news on the Presidential Release Live, so I call your attention to that
recording and transcript. I want to focus your energy on our Rideshare
Rally. We need every affiliate represented at this big event in San
Francisco. It Is critical that we demonstrate that this is a nationwide
problem. In fact, it is an international problem. It is time for us to hold
the companies accountable for solving this rather than telling us there is
nothing they can do.

Best wishes to all the affiliates with conventions coming up later this
month.

The National Federation of the Blind advances the lives of its members and
all blind people in the United States. We know that blindness is not the

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
