We are beginning to schedule volunteers for Independence Market
demonstrators, storekeepers, line marshals, and cashiers at the NFB 2025
National Convention.
If you are attending or know others who are attending this year's
convention and are willing to volunteer some time to work the Independence
Market please contact Dorothy Griffin at 770-374-4832 or by email at
dgriffin at nfbga.org. Note: Please let me know what position you want to
work. Information on the positions are below.
Each demonstrator will ideally work a four-hour (morning or afternoon) and
a two-hour (lunch) shift. This is a total of only six hours. There are, of
course, other duties to be fulfilled in the market. Shift times for
storekeepers and cashiers are a little longer than those of demonstrators.
Storekeeper shifts overlap to allow for incoming volunteers to get up to
speed. Cashier shifts are extended to accommodate the count-out procedure
at the end of each shift.
Sincerely,
Dorothy - on behalf of the Independence Market convention coordinators.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. Our collective power, determination,
and diversity achieve the aspirations of all blind people.
