This is a reminder about our board commitment to our 2026 50/50 drawing Fundraiser. For those who have already honored their commitment I thank you. For those who still have to purchase their tickets, this is a reminder that you still have until Friday, August 28th to meet the deadline.

Our 50/50 ticket purchases are not going very well so far this year. We have only sold about 40 tickets so far. I am hoping that this will pick up soon. We will see how many tickets have been sold by our next board meeting on Thursday, August 13th before we consider our next steps.

NFBGA 50/50 drawing fundraiser announcement:
Are you ready to empower blind Georgians to live the lives they want? Would you like to win a cash prize while making a difference? This is your chance to support the National Federation of the Blind of Georgia and win big!

The National Federation of the Blind of Georgia State Convention 50/50 drawing fundraiser is an opportunity for you to help us raise funds to assist blind people. By participating, you will help us continue to empower blind Georgians through education, support, social activities, and advocacy. Purchase a ticket for a chance to win half the amount collected.

The drawing runs from June through August 2026, with the winner announced at the 2026 Georgia state convention business meeting on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

You do not need to be present to win, you may request your prize be sent to you with the use of cash app, ZELLE or by Check.

Once the drawing is completed, if you are the winner, we will contact you, and you can tell our Treasurer how you would like us to send you your prize.

Tickets are a donation of $5.00 each, and you can purchase as many as you like.


  *   The deadline for purchasing tickets online is Friday, August 28, 2026, to be sure that your name is placed in the drawing


Our 2025 drawing collected $2,860.00 and our winner received $1,430.00

We graciously appreciate your consideration, and we want you to know that any donation that you decide to give will go a long way to helping the organized blind movement in Georgia.
