Welcome to our 53rd National Federation of the Blind of Georgia State Convention
The 53rd State Convention of the National Federation of the Blind of Georgia will be held on September 4-6, 2026, at the Hilton Atlanta Airport, located in Atlanta Georgia.
For over 50 years, our affiliate has been committed to changing what it means to be blind. This year’s theme is “Bridging The Gap By Honoring The Past While Creating Our Way To The Future!” We invite you to come and join us for education, fellowship, and lots of fun, as we continue to help the blind of Georgia to keep achieving the lives they want.

Our group room rate for all rooms is $149.00 per night per room,
plus, taxes of 16% and a lodging fee of $5 per night per room.
All reservations must be made by Friday, August 14, 2026, to receive our group rate.
We ask that you act quickly, so that the room you require is available for booking. These reservations are first come first served, and once the booking is booked out, we will be subject to only what the hotel can provide.
There are no suite options included in our booking block, suites can only be booked through the hotel at the hotel’s current prevailing rate at the time of booking.

All reservations must be accompanied by either a major Credit or Debit Card. The hotel will not hold any reservations unless secured by one of these methods. At the time of booking the hotel will apply the cost of one night stay to your card in order to secure your reservation.
All reservations are subject to a 72-hour cancellation policy. Failure to cancel a reservation 72 hours prior to arrival will result in a charge of one night’s room and tax applied to the credit card.
Upon your check in, the hotel will be authorizing, the full amount of room and tax for your stay, along with a $60 per night incidentals hold at the time of registration.
Each person is responsible for making their own room reservation.
The hotel states that a debit card can be used to reserve your room as long as the debit card is associated with a major bank or credit union.
The hotel offers:
• A discounted Hot Breakfast Buffet in Hotel Restaurant (RedEyeSouthern Kitchen) @ $15.00 plus tax per person. You must be registered at the hotel to take advantage of this discount.
• Refrigerator and microwave in guest rooms
• Complimentary Internet in Guest rooms and Meeting spaces

Convention registration requirements are as follows.
• We ask that everyone be registered in order to participate in the convention, no exceptions.
• All registration pricing is per person, per registration.
• all payments are non-refundable and must be received by the deadline date of Friday, August 14, 2026 in order for your meal selections to be honored.

NFBGA Variety Event:
This year we are hosting again our NFBGA Variety event! We are inviting you to attend and/or be a participant. Do you have a talent you’re ready to share with the world? Whether you sing, dance, perform comedy, spoken word, or a fashionista, or have another unique gift, we want to see it! Here’s your chance to SHINE and WOW our affiliate at this year’s NFB of Georgia State Convention.
This event will be held on Friday, September 4th from 8:00 P.M. to 10:30 P.M. at a cost of $20.00 per person.

Are you ready to empower blind Georgians to live the lives they want? Would you like to win a cash prize while making a difference? This is your chance to support the National Federation of the Blind of Georgia and win big!
The National Federation of the Blind of Georgia State Convention 50/50 drawing fundraiser is an opportunity for you to help us raise funds to assist blind people. By participating, you will help us continue to empower blind Georgians through education, support, social activities, and advocacy. Purchase a ticket for a chance to win half the amount collected.
The drawing runs from June through August 2026, with the winner announced at the 2026 Georgia state convention business meeting on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
You do not need to be present to win, you may request your prize be sent to you with the use of cash app, ZELLE or by Check.
Once the drawing is completed, if you are the winner, we will contact you, and you can tell our Treasurer how you would like us to send you your prize.
Tickets are a donation of $5.00 each, and you can purchase as many as you like.

The National Federation of the Blind of Georgia is a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and all contributions are tax deductible.
