> I first would like to thank Theresa and Arlen for making such a great suggestion. Coco is a family style restaurant that has some of the best pie in the world. They also have a meeting room that can seat around 40 people and that’s is why we are giving this location I try next I do not want our chapter members to think that this location is a done deal. We will be holding the June chapter meeting at Coco‘s bakery on June 2 from 930 until 12 noon. If you want a good breakfast, I urge you to get there around 845 so that you can be served as the Fort Bend meeting starts. If all of you enjoy this newly found meeting place, then we will vote on it at the July meeting back at S SAAVE. All those that read this email, please let others know of the change for the June meeting. We will also make phone calls throughout the week. There is a lot to discuss at this up and coming meeting. Not only will we be having an election to fill the second vice position for the chapter board, we will be discussing the most recent state board meeting and some changes to how membership will be designed for the state from here on out. We will talk about national and state convention. We will talk about the new Christmas raffle and I were up and coming fundraiser on June 9 at Angelina’s. Both Arlen and and Theresa have worked really hard with the membership and fundraising committee and we will get a report back from them on some major changes to the structure of our chapter meeting. If you plan on leaving early, please do not. There is a lot to cover in a short amount of time and I would say to plan on setting your ride for 1215 or later. After we adjourn, or any diabetic in our chapter, I will give a short demonstration of how I check my blood sugar. Plan on bringing your glucometer to the meeting. Are used a prodigy and it would be nice to see what other glucometer that are out there that are blind friendly. One of our members said they are having difficulty taking their blood and using their device so we may be able to come up with other alternative for that person. And, finally, if you or a member of the Phoenix chapter. and are attending national convention, I would like you to please contact me. The chapter is still selling lanyards and the state is also putting together a fundraiser for national convention as well. More details to follow. However, I ask that you contact me so we can further our fundraising effort at national convention. I look forward to seeing you all at next Saturday’s chapter meeting. Sincerely Bradley Kuhn Phoenix chapter president
