> The 2020 White Cane VIRTUAL Conference is just around the corner this upcoming week, October 13-14, 8:00AM to 3:00PM. Using ZOOMGov as our platform this year will keep our us and our Veterans healthy, safe and informed - allowing us to share and learn about resources and access technology to better the lives of those in our visually impaired and blind community. To “Maximize Vision and Restore Hope!” is our theme as well as our goal this year, to counter this pandemic chaos. Attached is this year’s program. In addition to your scheduled presentation, please feel free to join us for any or all of the presentations.

> Exhibitors/Vendors can share a live demonstration, Power Point display, or even an already assembled YouTube video link within their half hour increments. Interactive questions/answers exchange is optional during your session. Any questions/ concerns not addressed during sessions can be collected from Veterans and forwarded to presenters. A practice run was requested by several exhibitors and the following guidelines were a result of the rehearsal.
> ● Upon Zoom entrance, “MUTE ALL” will be enabled for volume/crowd management.
> ● Exhibitors/Vendors must “UNMute” themselves in order to present and be heard by clicking on the slashed microphone image at the bottom left corner of their screen.
> ● Please be descriptive if explaining tables/charts or describing images/ photos/ videos, and speak loudly and clearly when presenting to our low vision and blind Veterans.
> ● Moderators will introduce presenters at the start of each session and then provide a 5-minute warning near the end of the half hour in order to prepare for the next presentation/exhibitor/vendor.
> ● For best communication, check and respond in the Zoom chat at the bottom center of the screen. Moderators and staff will be monitoring the chat room, phones/messages, and emails regularly throughout event day for questions, comments and/or problems.
